Building connections

Insights from Evanston and Skokie, IL (A), whose cluster has just finished the expansion phase of the second cycle of its intensive program of growth. Each day, teaching teams would set out to visit homes to share the message of Bahá’u’lláh and to follow-up with individuals who had previously expressed interest in the Faith. Each evening they would come together and share their experiences. Here is one of the many insights they have gained:

For Anna’s presentation, the important thing is not merely to complete it but to make the personal connection. Expand it, contract it, follow your instinct rather than just plow through the presentation. Have points where the listener can give feedback, and be ready to offer to continue at another time. It is all about building connections.
